Analysis of Maize Bulk Density
Corn bulk density determination has its national standard method, but when we measure according to the national standard method, it is often found that when the same sample is repeatedly tested, as long as the sampling method is slightly different, the measurement results will be very different. Below, we discuss the specific measurement process.
Instruments and appliances: bulk density meters, grain filters, electronic scales, etc. Then choose 1 kg of yellow corn, 1.0% of impurities, and 14.2% of moisture. Determination method: According to GB1353-1999 method operation, the sample preparation 1kg sample is divided into two (approximately 500g) into the sieve, after the sieve, the sieved material of the lower sieve is mixed in the sieve and poured into the cereal cylinder, and then the other Half (about 500g) is poured into the sieve again. After the sieve, the sieved material of the lower sieve is mixed in the sieve and then poured into the cereal cylinder. # Fill and scrape flat. The other steps are the same as described in GB1353-1999.
The disadvantages of the above test method were analyzed: the sample was taken twice, and the sample was mixed on the glass plate after each sieving. It should be said that this step is correct. However, the mixed sample was picked up again in a large container (for example, a large scale sample) and poured into a cereal tube together. The result was the highest, and the results of the 10 measurements varied greatly, reaching a maximum of 9 g/L. The surveyor is greatly puzzled. What is the true value of corn? The reason for this is that the test sample for corn bulk density is semi-clean grain, and there are impurities in it. All of the sample after screening is poured into the grain cylinder. When the sample is poured, nearly 1 kg of the sample all participate in the automatic classification. The large and heavy corn and the uncontaminated impurities first fall into the lower part of the cylinder. The corn forms an invisible grade in the cylinder, and the impurities are small and light. The corn was at the top of the whole grain barrel. When the insert was inserted, the upper impurities were all removed. As a result, about 1 kg of the sample, all the impurities and small and light corn kernels were almost absent. For small corn kernels, the grading situation is not the same as a quality inspection once, making the average of the measurements the highest, and the error of each result is larger.
