According to Reuters, the German auto parts supplier Robert Bosch Group stated that the company does not currently have plans to build a battery factory in Germany.
According to the German Manager Magazin, Bernd Bohr, head of the Bosch Automotive Business Unit, said in an interview recently that electric vehicles won’t be able to reach large-scale markets until 2020, so Bosch has no intention of setting up factories in Germany to produce car batteries.
"Management Magazine" stated that the Bosch Group has been considering cooperation with Volkswagen for the production of car batteries.
In May of this year, Bernd Bohr stated that the Bosch Group will get rid of its dependence on Japanese battery technology and plans to start producing car batteries independently in 2016.
