Korean tire manufacturer will invest 1.2 billion U.S. dollars in Indonesia

According to the Indonesian Compass Report on September 28, 2010, Jeddah, chairman of the Indonesian National Investment Coordinating Committee, revealed in Seoul that a tire manufacturing company in South Korea will invest 1.2 billion U.S. dollars (about 9.3 billion renminbi) in Indonesia.

On September 27, 2010, a delegation of officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry and the National Investment Coordinating Committee visited South Korea. The news was revealed to the outside world after the delegation and South Korean investors met in Seoul. Jeddah did not disclose which company it is, but said that the company has already started to locate a factory in Indonesia. Institutional Funding Has Changed Significantly According to data released by the Indonesian National Investment Coordinating Committee, South Korea invested 626 million U.S. dollars (approximately 4.85 billion U.S. dollars) in Indonesia in 2009, an increase of 107.4% year-on-year.
