Recently, the International Seminar on High-End Heavy Truck Manufacturing in China was held in Weihai City. More than 130 representatives of domestic and foreign entrepreneurs and industry experts were invited to jointly discuss the latest industry policies for high-end heavy trucks in China and test advanced solutions at home and abroad to share the best Practice and expand partnerships.
Before the meeting, Zhao Xidian, member of the Standing Committee of the Weihai Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor of the Municipality, met with Kenney Weyers, chairman of the American Commercial Transportation Research Institute, who was the representative of the foreign party who came to attend the seminar, and then attended the seminar and delivered a speech.
Zhao Xidian said that at present, Weihai is accelerating the construction of blue economic zones and high-end industrial clusters in Shandong Peninsula in accordance with the national and provincial strategic plans, and making efforts to create “six bases and ten parksâ€. In the traditional automotive field, the total scale of key enterprises such as Huatai Automobile, Triangle Group and Tianrun Crankshaft continues to expand, and the quality and efficiency have steadily increased. It has occupied a place in the domestic and foreign markets; in the field of new energy vehicles, Guangtai Pure Electric Vehicles , Dongsheng Energy and other new energy vehicle production and supporting companies are thriving. As of the end of last year, the city had 64 automobile and spare parts manufacturing companies, 7 vehicle manufacturers, and 107,000 vehicle production. The company realized sales revenue of 36.5 billion yuan and profits of 2.7 billion yuan. Although the development of the automotive industry in Weihai is well-developed, there is still no problem in heavy truck production, especially heavy-duty vehicle manufacturing.
With the continuous growth of China's transportation industry and logistics industry, the scale of the heavy-duty truck market continues to expand, competition is becoming increasingly fierce, and the role played in the development of the automobile industry is also increasingly important.
