Qingdao Municipality Puts Forward the Development Goals of Agricultural Mechanization in the Twelfth Five-Year Plan

The Municipal Agricultural Machinery Bureau recently released the twelfth five-year plan for the development of agricultural mechanization in Qingdao. The plan proposes that by the end of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, the level of comprehensive mechanization of tillage and harvest will be over 85%; the mechanization of production of major grain crops will be fully realized, and mechanization of the production of peanuts, potato and other advantageous crops will be basically achieved, and facilities agriculture, fruit trees will be accelerated. According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Agricultural Machinery Bureau, the city will focus on the implementation of agricultural machinery and equipment promotion projects, demonstration projects of innovative agricultural farms, conservation tillage projects, policy-based agricultural subsidy projects, agricultural public service projects, and agricultural socialization in the next five years. Six major projects, such as service engineering, strive to reach the end of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”. The total power of the city’s agricultural machinery will reach 9.26 million kilowatts, the total value of agricultural machinery will reach 6.5 billion yuan, and the total mechanization level for farming and harvesting will reach over 85%, of which the level of machine farming will reach 99%. At the same time, the sowing rate reached over 92% and the machine harvest rate reached over 80%; the establishment of a 1.3 million-mu conservation-oriented farming demonstration zone resulted in an average mechanized corn harvest of more than 80%, and a comprehensive mechanized level of economic crop production exceeding 70%. The mechanization of aquaculture, the mechanization of post-harvest processing of agricultural products, and the rapid development of mechanization of agricultural facilities have resulted in the mechanization of large and medium-sized livestock and poultry farms, the degree of aquaculture mechanization, and the conversion rate of agricultural products processing to more than 80%.

It is understood that the total power of agricultural machinery in our city has reached 7.636 million kilowatts, the total value of agricultural machinery has reached 5.01 billion yuan, and the comprehensive level of main mechanization of crop production has reached 80.43%.
