In March of this year, China promulgated the mandatory standard GB20286 “Burning Performance Requirements and Labels for Flame-retardant Products and Components in Public Places†and the “Measures for the Management of Labeling of Flame-retardant Products†was also implemented in May, requiring all construction products in public places to be involved. Plastic products, wire and cable, furniture components, textiles, foam plastics and other six categories of products, must have anti-counterfeiting identification of the flame-retardant signs, the plastic products fire-retardant properties put forward high requirements. On the other hand, the sustained and rapid growth of the national economy, energy consumption and pollution emissions have become major obstacles to sustainable economic development. This has aroused great concern from the government and all sectors of the society. The plastics industry is also facing major issues such as coordinated development with the environment and enhancement of industrial competitiveness. Energy conservation, consumption reduction and pollution reduction are important missions for the entire plastics industry to achieve sustainable development. The meeting will invite relevant experts in the fields of flame retardant technology and energy conservation and emission reduction technology, introduce the requirements of the mandatory national standard GB20286 on the flame retardant products, and the revision of relevant regulations and specifications, as well as the application procedures for the flame retardant identification in the logo management approach.
